The Queens, N.Y., based band encompasses all that the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival aims to represent, offering up an emotionally unhinged blend of blistering hardcore and punishing thrash metal.

Emmure has four albums to their credit: 2007′s Goodbye To The Gallows, 2008′s Respect Issue, 2009′s Felony (2009), and Speaker of the Dead, the quintet’s latest release.

Emmure will join a lineup of more than 75 bands, from Billboard-charting artists and festival veterans to new acts and future stars of the genre, as the 14th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival takes over the Palladium in Worcester, Mass., the weekend of April 20 through April 22.

A camera crew will be on hand this year to document the show for an upcoming film focusing on the history of the festival, behind the scenes footage and the development of the show. The documentary will be produced by Manny Santiago from Crimson Media and sponsored by Shook Clothing.

Kicking off on April 16th in Oklahoma City, OK the string of dates will lead into New England Metal and Hardcore Festival on April 21st and continue on until wrapping up in Flagstaff, AZ on May 1st.

Unearth is one of the many bands that got their start at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, later becoming one of the top bands in metalcore.

WORCESTER, Mass. – Massachusetts’ own All That Remains has been announced as a very special guest headliner on Saturday evening, April 21, at the 14th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.

As one of metal’s preeminent breakthrough success stories of recent years, All That Remains is one of many acts to get its start at the festival. From cracking the Billboard Top 10, to joining the elite active rock radio fraternity, to being one of just a handful of acts to take part in the Rockstar Mayhem Festival, Ozzfest and Vans Warped Tour trifecta, the group has shattered previously held expectations about just how far a band with roots in independent heavy metal can go. The festival helped to launch the career of the Westfield, Mass., band and the festival vets went on to sign with Roadrunner Records. With over 1.5 million records sold in the United States alone and a Grammy nomination under its belt, the band will return to the NEMF stage in 2012.About this homecoming of sorts, vocalist Howard Jones said, “ Yup, trouble’s brewing.
